About Chez Pink Elephant

First of all, I would like to say a warm welcome to anyone visiting Chez Pink Elephant! I put a lot of heart and soul into this project and I hope that you will find it as interesting and useful as I intend it to be.

“Mens sana in corpore sano” meaning a healthy mind in a healthy body is the main idea behind this website. I think the main key to feeling fulfilled is to strive for balance and harmony between your body and soul. Nowadays, we are overwhelmed with so much information in regards to how we should live our lives, what we should eat, look like and be like, but in the end we are left without a viable and affordable solution. We have too much information, too many restrictions, too little time and we are left to believe that all we can do is to feel more and more anxious about our lifestyle choices and our future. Many of us are like puppets, eating what we are being fed, thinking and feeling what we are being told and becoming someone that we are expected to become.

This website intends to give viable alternatives to living a more honest and fulfilling life.  It will help you take a hold of your life and it will put you back in control when it comes to making  wise decisions about your body and soul. Chez Pink Elephant is a safe place to fall for those who are looking to reach self-actualization by shaping themselves and our world for the better.

What’s in a name?

You might be wondering why I named the website Chez Pink Elephant. It all started out with my passion for elephants and the fact that I feel a true connection with these fascinating and complex animals. For me, an elephant represents communication, empathy, deep emotions, social complexity, vulnerability, strength and contrast. And in fact these are the same words that I would use to describe the content of this website. The content of this website is like an elephant. It is complex, it is all about communication, being empathetic with one another, sharing vulnerable information and gaining strength by looking at core issues right in the eye. This website also makes reference to the “elephant in the room”. No taboo issues will be avoided here.

So why pink? Well, because there was once a pink elephant whose story you can find here. This is where the journey begins.

Now, sit back, relax and enjoy! And feel free to participate at any time with your comments and ideas!

About me
About me Chezpinkelephant

My name is Anamaria and I’ve been living for 13 years in Brussels. I finished my studies in Social Sciences and I’ve been working in Communication and Events for 9 years now. I wish I would have studied psychology, but in the end I find that communication and psychology are actually extremely linked.

At the moment, I am enrolled in a three year art therapy course, I work on this website and I work full-time for an association in Brussels. My biggest passions are people, deep conversations and getting involved in anything that makes a difference. Since I think in images and symbols, the thing that describes me best is just a big, simple elephant.

Chez Pink Elephant Logo Design: The fact that the elephant is seen only from the back suggests that Chez Pink Elephant is not only about the elephant, it’s about his journey. He is walking forward, without looking back.

    1. Trista concluzia ta (… and this is where I truly feel at home).
    2. a trai in virtual (Since I think in images and symbols,…) cred ca este o forma de a-ti ascunde teama de cava. Numai in concret poti sa te impiedici de un bolovan si sa cazi in nas. In virtual, a cadea in nas este ceva fara sens. Aici guverneaza legea imponderabilitatii. Fly, fly, Robin fly.
Nu cred ca l-ai asccultat pe regretatul Gil Dobrica, cu al sau “Hai acasa” Poate o s-o faci intro zi si atunci vei da jois elefantul din cires.

Buna ziua domnule Hornea.
